From
the first day Jimmy V. volunteered for Adaptive Adventures
on the 2001 Ride the Rockies, he has gone above and beyond
the call of duty on a regular basis. Jimmy's knowledge in
all areas of mechanics and cycling has been a huge asset
to the organization.
Cycling
Coordinator, Ian Lawless commented after the 2002 ride,
"who could ignore the daily heroics of Jimmy V!...the
guy who took it upon himself to shepherd in the last of
our riders each and every day. His bum may be a little sore,
but the world needs more guys like Jimmy V!"
In
addition to maintaining our adaptive bikes and handcycles,
Jimmy has also branched out into custom parts for handcycles
and adaptive water sports equipment.
Jimmy
is the Adaptive Adventures Inspirational Volunteer of the
Year for 2002.
